Parks and Trails

Tallahassee’s large and diverse system of parks, green space and trails makes the city a fantastic place to live, work and play! We offer 94 parks totaling nearly 4,000 acres, along with over 70 miles of trails. The variety of recreational opportunities offered in our parks truly results in something for everyone! Also, in accordance with the City’s strategic plan, we are excited to add 6 more parks by 2024!

Please use our Interactive Parks Map to find the right recreational opportunity for you.

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all park users, the following rules apply:

  • Park hours are from sunrise to sunset (except lighted facilities).
  • You are welcome to bring your dog to any park, but they must be leashed at all times and kept off of ballfields & playground areas. Any waste/dropping must be picked up.
  • Please enjoy small get togethers in the parks. However, organized gatherings of 50 people or more requires a Parks Permit or Special Events Permit, often at no cost.
  • Most pavilions are first come, first served. Certain large pavilions at Tom Brown Park are available for reservation, please call 891-3866 for more information.
  • Hitting golf balls is not allowed for safety reasons. However, please visit our City Golf Courses
  • Please refrain from playing loud music and littering.
